Tale #13 - Birthday Number Two!
Two. Years. It is wild to look back over the last two years and think of all we have accomplished together! This month, Sully’s turns two and we couldn’t be more proud. We set out to achieve a couple of things very early-on in our business plan. First, provide a welcoming place for new and old riders to get suited up for a safe and comfortable riding experience. And second, to build a motorcycle community that went beyond just selling gloves or helmets. With your help, we’ve made great strides toward both of those goals!
One of the most consistent pieces of feedback we hear is, “it’s such a cool vibe in here.” This is so gratifying to us because we have worked hard to cultivate a space that is friendly, vintage, comfortable, and fun! Part of the reason we opened Sully’s was because we never had an enjoyable shopping experience buying gear in the past, either at high-pressure dealerships or big box stores. We envisioned a place where you might like to chat, share the story of your most recent ride, browse, and maybe even relax on the couch with Sully for a while. (For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure, Sully is our shop dog and local celebrity).
Building community has always been at the heart of what we do. We’ve participated in local bike nights, held rides for charity, donated to many local non-profits, and outfitted lots of new riders in protective gear for their Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. We’ve made so many great connections with other denominations of motor-loving folks like racecar fans from Road America or speed boat fans from the Sheboygan Powerboat Midwest Challenge. But perhaps what we are most thankful for are the people who follow us on social media, like and comment, visit our website, www.sullysrideshop.com, and walk through our doors to help support small business! We couldn’t do it without you.
So, as we celebrate our second birthday, we are sending out all the gratitude to YOU - part of our Sully’s Family. Here’s to many more years of riding together. Let’s see where the road takes us!
